A Zoetrope Design Studio believes that design has the power to transform experiences and realities. For this power to be exercised with excellence and responsibility, it must arise from diverse perspectives, plural voices, and an environment where everyone feels genuinely belonging.
This Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) Policy formalizes our commitment to building a company where difference is valued, equity is practiced, and inclusion is structural, not merely declarative. It is a commitment to our employees, clients, partners, and society.
Fundamental Definitions
To ensure alignment and common understanding, we define the core pillars of this policy:
Diversity is the recognition and appreciation of the multiple characteristics that make people unique: gender, race/color, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, neurodiversity, disability status, origin, social class, religion, education, experiences, and lifestyles.
Equity is the promotion of a fair environment in which the conditions for growth and development are tailored to each person’s needs, recognizing that equal treatment is not sufficient when starting conditions are unequal.
Inclusion is the assurance that all individuals feel they belong, are respected, and valued in their contexts, and that their contributions are recognized with equal importance.
Accessibility is the removal of physical, digital, communicational, and attitudinal barriers so that everyone can fully participate, a commitment especially central to a UX/UI design company.
